Nina graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine where she received a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. She went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Southern California, with a focus on Families and Children, plus a sub-conce

Nina graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine where she received a BA in Psychology and Social Behavior. She went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Social Work from University of Southern California, with a focus on Families and Children, plus a sub-concentration in School Social Work including her PPS (Pupil Personnel Services) credential. She has worked in three school districts in Orange County (Orange, Irvine, and Saddleback) and three Universities: University of California, Irvine; California State University at Fullerton; and Concordia University, Irvine.

For the last 15 years, Nina has been working with dual diagnosis clients and their families, embracing addiction treatment, mental health and family recovery. Her work as a psychotherapist and licensed drug and alcohol counselor has provided insight, clinical tools and guidance to many addicts, alcoholics and their families, offering them a way through to a balanced, productive, healthy lifestyle. Nina has implemented 12-step recovery programs, focusing on mindfulness and meditation as a way through to the other side of recovery, connection, mental health and community. Nina’s work in the recovery community has helped countless individuals and their families get well.
